Our Rooms

Our rooms are designed to cater to different age groups, providing tailored activities and environments that support each child’s unique development and interests.

Bottlebrush Room

Our Bottlebrush room offers a warm and personalised environment with a low 3:1 child-to-educator ratio, ensuring that each baby receives dedicated, individual care from our experienced team.

We cherish every baby as a unique individual, building strong, trusting relationships that provide a foundation for their growth and development.

Our nurturing educators understand each child’s needs and rhythms, fostering a sense of safety, love, and belonging. Through gentle interactions and sensory-rich experiences, we support early milestones and create an environment where babies can explore with confidence. Collaboration with families is central, and our play-based program encourages sensory, motor, and socio-emotional development, giving each child a wonderful start.

Eucalyptus Room

Our Eucalyptus room provides a nurturing and engaging environment, with a focus on fostering each child’s growing sense of independence and curiosity. With a low child-to-educator ratio, our experienced team is committed to understanding the unique needs and personalities of every toddler, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and supported. We create an atmosphere where children can confidently explore the world around them, developing essential social, emotional, and motor skills through play-based learning.

Our educators build strong, trusting relationships with both the children and their families, working together to support each child’s developmental journey.

With a variety of sensory-rich experiences and opportunities for creative expression, our toddlers’ room is a space where learning, discovery, and joy thrive.

Sheoak Room

Our Sheoak room provides a vibrant and supportive space for children aged 2 to 3 years old. With a dedicated team of 5 experienced educators caring for 16 children, we ensure each child receives the attention and nurturing they need during this important stage of growth. We focus on fostering independence, curiosity, and social connections, creating an environment where children feel safe to explore, learn, and engage in meaningful play.

Our educators build strong relationships with each child, guiding them through new experiences and developmental milestones, from language development to self-help skills.

Through a balance of structured activities and free play, we encourage creativity, problem-solving, and social interaction, helping each child develop confidence and a love for learning.

Mulberry Room

Our 3-year-old kinder program offers 15 hours of funded education each week, aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and our centre’s philosophy. Led by degree-qualified kindergarten teachers, the program maintains a daily cap of 16 children to ensure a nurturing and focused learning environment.

The play-based curriculum encourages both indoor and outdoor exploration, supporting children’s development across key areas such as identity, connection, well-being, confidence, thinking, and communication.

Our approach is child-centred and emergent, meaning that children’s ideas, interests, and stories shape the curriculum, making the learning experience meaningful and tailored to each individual child. In our centre your children received 8 hours a day with the Kinder teacher and $2000.00 per year towards your fees.

Wattle Room

Our 4-year-old kinder program offers 15 hours of funded education per week, also underpinned by the EYLF, NQS, and our centre’s philosophy. The program, led by degree-qualified teachers, accommodates up to 19 children per day to foster both individual and collaborative learning.

The 4-year curriculum is child-led, emergent, and inquiry-based, with children’s curiosity and ideas driving meaningful, project-based learning experiences. These inquiry-driven projects allow children to explore their interests in depth, encouraging them to ask questions, investigate, and build knowledge through hands-on activities. This approach nurtures critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, fostering a lifelong love for learning and helping children become confident, excited learners, well-prepared for the next stage of their education.

The Spanish Program

A highlight of our 4-year program is a weekly language session led by our Spanish teacher, Pilar. Through creative play, music, song, dance, and crafts, children not only learn the language but also expand their cultural awareness. By embracing Spanish culture, they also develop a deeper appreciation for their own heritage and for the diverse cultures around them.

Bush Kinder Program

At St Catherine’s, we prioritise fostering children’s connection with nature for holistic development, especially in urban settings. Our 4-year-old kinder children explore the outdoors weekly, starting at Pleasance Garden and later visiting Royal Park. We focus on road safety, awareness, and independence during these excursions. Inspired by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditions, our Bush Kinder program nurtures environmental connections and community engagement through unstructured play.

This approach supports confidence, imagination, social skills, and environmental stewardship, fostering well-being and authentic learning experiences in natural spaces.

Reviews From Satisfied Parents.

We value the feedback of our families and are proud to share their positive experiences. Here are some testimonials highlighting the trust and satisfaction of our community.

"The kinder program set up each of our children for a positive transition into prep, we were so lucky to have such special teachers who exposed them to many new experiences and languages for them be curious and explore new topics. I look back now and realise how lucky we were to have sent our children to SCEEC and would highly recommend anyone looking for care to go there as the high standard of care flows right from the top with Jennie managing the centre all the way through to the different rooms."
